Who we are
Zephyros is UNITECH Energy Group’s investment in floating offshore wind. We have 40 years of experience within industrial development offshore. The company name is Zephyros Ocean Vestland AS. Bernt Hellesøe is founder and owner of Zephyros.
Our ambitions
We want to open an area to establish a pilot wind farm with floating wind turbines from Thunder Bay within 2025. We are ready now.
We are concerned with:
- Multi use and environmental exploitation of acreage and marine proteins
- Industrial innovation based on regional development
- Industrial development that creates permanent and full time jobs
- Facilitation of research and vocational education

Key personel
Bernt Hellesøe
Chairman & Founder
Bernt is behind almost 160 inventions throughout his career. He has developed electrical super cables, solutions for solar operation of aquaculture facilities at sea, a new type of container for the transport of live seafood, a new type of wave power plant and a method for raising the German submarine on the seabed at Fedje.
Vidar Onarheim
Head of Business Development
Vidar leads the R&D Center operations to help pave the way for new innovative business through the utilization of the center’s combined, unique resources. Vidar holds a bachelor’s degree in planning and administration and has worked for many years within the Marine and Fish Farming industries. He has held a variety of positions including Events Manager, Project Manager, and Sales and Marketing Director. In recent years, Vidar has been involved in arranging conferences and tradeshows related to fishing and aquaculture.
Tony Arman
International BizDev Director
Tony secures international cooperation agreements for Zephyros Ocean, develops intellectual property for the group and produces corporate strategy & communications.
Previous work includes successfully deployed EEDSM projects under the UNFCCC, Organic AgriTech solutions, and innovations in environmental heavy plant equipment.
Isabel Storøy
Senior Project Manager
Through her tenure at UNITECH Offshore AS, Isabel has gained over 10 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry, where she has progressed through various positions with increasing responsibility. At a management level, she has provided support to the company’s entire supply chain. Since 2020, she has been working as a Project Manager leading projects with great attention to structure and detail.
Rune Strandenes
O&M Manager
Rune has many years of experience within automation, information technology, and various mechanical disciplines. In addition, he is experienced with O&M management in areas of floating offshore wind turbines, solar cells, and control systems for green energy developments. Currently, he manages offshore installations of automation, controls, and data acquisition systems.
Alex Williams
IT Director
Through decades of experience within Information Technology, Alex has developed a broad and deep knowledge of various technologies, interconnectability, Intellectual Property protection, and malicious cyber intrusion susceptibility. Experience and knowledge, combined with circumspection, has enabled Alex to excel in all things IT.
